We're kicking off a brand new series called This Is Church, walking through the letter of 1 Corinthians together. It was written to a young, imperfect church dealing with rivalries, conflict, and real questions about what it means to actually belong to something bigger than themselves. Over the next eight weeks, we're going to walk through that same journey and see what it looks like for our church in today’s culture.
This week we're starting at the beginning, with a question every church, and honestly every person, eventually has to answer: who are we? We will look at how easy it is to build our sense of identity around the wrong things, and what it looks like to find something sturdier to stand on instead.
